Applications
The disposable glass fibre panel air filter is widely
used in ventilation and air conditioning systems. Although this cardboard
framed panel air filter is inexpensive it offers a medium to low efficiency
grade of filtration, and can be used as a main filter. Alternatively
the glass fibre panel is suitable for use as a pre-filter to extend
the life of secondary high efficiency panel or bag air filters.
Description
Glass Fibre Panel Air Filters consist of a coated graduated
continuously spun glass filament in a pad form. The fibre glass pad
is then retained within either a rigid cardboard filter casing, or
a cardboard frame with perforates cap-punch grids. Air Filter stiffening
bars can be provided if required.
A scrim backing can be supplied on the outlet face of the glass
panel air filter for special applications such as in the food industry, where fibre migration could pose a potential risk.
Our method of manufacture for this style of panel air filter utilises
modern hot melt adhesive techniques, which produce an extremely
rigid and robust product.
