TECHNICAL BULLETIN: Indoor Air Quality Filtration System and Nox / NO2 Mitigation
Date: 14th September 2017
The Indoor Air Quality Filtration System is designed to filter particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5) along with pollutant gases including Nitrogen Dioxide (NOx / NO2) and VOCs. When the filtration system is used with an inline fan or Mechanical Heat Recovery System it can be used to draw clean, filtered fresh air into a room which is a safer alternative to simply opening a window or using natural ventilation.
This combination of a fan and filtration system offers the added benefit of diluting any build up of carbon dioxide which helps keep occupants alert and focused for their working day.
ROOM A – This scenario draws fresh air from outside, either through a void in a window, or vent in the wall.
ROOM B – This scenario draws fresh air from the shared space of the corridor through a wall vent.
ROOM C / D – This scenario draws air from outside, or the shared space of the corridor through a larger Air Handling Unit, and then distributes air via ventilation ducts.
