Electrostic Precipitator – Grease and Smoke Control for Kitchen Extracts

Electrostatic Precipitators from Airclean offer an inline solution to kitchen extract grease and smoke control with efficiencies of 95% for a single pass system and 99% for a double pass.

The Electrostatic Precipitator is designed to be fitted before the fan in a kitchen extract system drawing air in to be treated in three stages.

Electrostatic Precipitator - 3 Stages to Clean Air
Electrostatic Precipitator – 3 Stages to Clean Air

Stage 1 : A Metal Washable air filter will remove large dust and grease particles in the air stream.
Stage 2: Smaller grease and smoke particles will then pass into a strong electrical field where they will become charged.
Stage 3: The charged particles then pass through collector plates where equally spaced plates are designed to attract and collect the smaller particles, resulting in clean air.

ESP systems are increasing in popularity with contractors and local authorities because of reduction in nuisance that they present in a low maintenance system, whilst offering extended life and efficiency to odour control systems such as activated carbon and UV Ozone.
